Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat today chaired a cabinet meeting
At the beginning of the meeting, Filat said responsible authorities should take the necessary sanitation measures in all of Moldova’s districts. In this respect, he required Environment Minister Gheorghe Salaru to carry out a plan of measures and ensure the active participation of local public authorities in the settlement of these problems as well as take care of the financial aspect. Filat praised the society’s active participation in this sector, saying state institutions had to be more active in this context. |

Acting Prime Minister Vlad Filat today held a meeting with the head of the EU delegation to Moldova, Ambassador Dirk Schuebel
The officials discussed topical subjects, including Moldova’s EU integration agenda and the implementation of reforms.Filat reviewed the steps that were taken in order to complete the negotiations on an association agreement with the EU, including the creation of a free trade area. The Moldovan prime minister was satisfied with the development of the negotiations, saying negotiators had taken considerable efforts in this respect.The acting premier said the current political crisis did not prevent responsible state authorities from doing their job and implementing Moldova’s European agenda.“Our priority goal is to implement reforms and adjust Moldovan standards and values to the European ones. Therefore, we do acknowledge and we have the necessary abilities to prepare and attend the next summit in Vilnius with our homework done,” Filat said.Schuebel said the period which Moldova was currently going through was rather important, whereas the implemented reforms would improve the Moldovan citizens’ lives. The EU official said the EU would further back Moldova and would continue to offer it support in various sectors in order to help it modernise and reformate.The sides have also tackled the current political crisis, voicing hope that it would end soon. |

Acting Prime Minister Vlad Filat today chaired a working meeting of the Finance Ministry’s decision-makers
Attending the meeting also were Finance Minister Veaceslav Negruta, Customs Service head Tudor Balitchi and the deputy head of the State Fiscal Inspectorate (FISC), Adrian Timotin.The officials approached the activities regarding the incomes to the state budget and issues related to fiscal administration, after the amendment of the budget and fiscal law, the provisions of which entered into force by early 2013. They also broached the fiscal invoices issuance, the way the income declarations had been presented and others. |

Prime Minister Vlad FILAT chaired the Cabinet's meeting today
The prime minister approached several aspects related to the education and transportation systems and the regulation of the Customs Service's activity, in the beginning of the meeting. Filat required Education Minister Maia SANDU to present a detailed and complex information on the number of young employees in the education institutions, and the methodology of their working hours' distribution. The prime minister requested to speed up the presentation of the information on the registration of the naval transport in Moldova, including aspects related to customs procedures. FILAT requested the Customs Service to ensure the transparency of the decisional process. The prime minister required the publication of all the regulatory acts in the official paper Monitorul Oficial. He also requested the relevant bodies to consult the intentions related to applying regulatory measures in order to ensure the predictability in the field. |
