Acting Prime Minister Vlad Filat conveyed a congratulatory message on the inauguration of a new pharmaceutical storehouse of the Rihpangalfarma (Gedeon Richter) joint Moldovan-Hungarian enterprise,which took place in Balti municipality today
Attending the official inauguration were the Moldovan prime minister’s main state councillor, Eremei Priseajniuc, acting Health Minister Andrei Usatii, acting Labour, Social Protection and Family Minister Valentina Buliga, Hungarian Ambassador to Moldova Matyas Szilagyi, the chairman of the parliamentary commission on social protection, health and family, Vladimir Hotineanu and the rector of the “Nicolae Testemitanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ion Ababii.

Acting Prime Minister Vlad Filat today attended the inauguration of the “Doing business with the USA” seminar, organised by the US embassy to Moldova and the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova
Attending the event were American Ambassador to Moldova William Moser, the chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova, Cristina Harea and business people.During his speech, Filat thanked the US government for the important support it offered Moldova and for helping Moldovan authorities organise the business seminar.“I want to thank the US embassies in Chisinau and Bucharest as well as the American Chamber of Commerce for their efforts and for helping us maximally provide Moldovan businessmen with information on business opportunities with the USA and help them learn from the experience of creating a sustainable and profitable business,” Filat said.The acting prime minister said the event was an opportunity to discuss Moldovan-American commercial ties, direct investments and further development opportunities.“The future prospects of Moldovan-American commercial ties are rather large. It is important that during the seminar businessmen learn about all the programmes the US government is offering and make as many contacts as possible,” Filat said.The Moldovan prime minister reiterated that the Moldovan government would take all the necessary efforts to ensure an attractive environment for the investments.For his part, US Ambassador to Moldova William Moser reconfirmed the USA’s support for Moldova’s development in all the collaboration sectors.“In this context, the American and the Moldovan governments are actively cooperating in order to improve the investment environment. We have a lot to learn in all aspects,” Filat said.The participants in the seminar will tackle opportunities Moldovan-American ties are currently offering. Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat today chaired a cabinet meeting
At the beginning of the meeting, Filat said responsible authorities should take the necessary sanitation measures in all of Moldova’s districts. In this respect, he required Environment Minister Gheorghe Salaru to carry out a plan of measures and ensure the active participation of local public authorities in the settlement of these problems as well as take care of the financial aspect. Filat praised the society’s active participation in this sector, saying state institutions had to be more active in this context.
