Access of journalists to the meetings of the Joint Control Commission and to the Security Zone discussed in Bender
On March 5, 2026, the Joint Control Commission (JCC) convened to examine a single item on the agenda: the activity of the JCC press center and the unhindered accreditation of journalists interested in covering the situation in the area of responsibility of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.
The delegation of the Republic of Moldova firmly emphasized the need to ensure free access for the media to the activities of the JCC and within the perimeter of the Security Zone. In this context, the representatives of Chișinău called on the other participants to respect the right of journalists to carry out their professional activities without obstruction.
The representatives of Tiraspol requested a break in order to study the proposals of our delegation, and the discussions will continue next week.
