Continuous Support for Families with Children Residing on the Left Bank of the Nistru River and in Bender Municipality

The Bureau for Reintegration Policies reports that, starting from 2021 until September 1, 2025, a total of 1,758 beneficiaries residing in localities on the left bank of the Nistru River and in Bender municipality have received social allowances provided from the state social insurance budget of the Republic of Moldova. These benefits are aimed at supporting the growth and care of children. Statistical data show a significant increase in the uptake of these forms of support, confirming the interest and trust of citizens in the social policies implemented by Chișinău.
In 2024, the total number of beneficiaries reached 582 people, the highest number recorded in the past five years. This trend can be explained by the increase in the number of families who applied for the one-time childbirth allowance (280 cases) and the monthly child care allowance until the age of two (299 cases). In the first eight months of 2025, 347 families benefited from various types of allowances, demonstrating the continuity of the support measures.
Additionally, every year there have been beneficiaries of the special allowance intended for the care of twins or multiple children born from a single pregnancy until the age of three, reflecting the state's attention to families with increased needs.
The strengthening of social protection mechanisms for citizens in the Transnistrian region remains a constant priority, with the objectives of ensuring a safer and more decent living standard for every family and child, and promoting inclusive and equitable policies throughout the entire territory of the country.
