Meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway

Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian received a visit from Siri Beate Barry, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway accredited to the Republic of Moldova, based in Bucharest, Romania.

The officials assessed the state of Moldovan-Norwegian bilateral relations and stressed the need to further explore the potential for diversification and strengthening of cooperation, with a positive impact on economic, cultural and social relations for both states.

The discussions also reiterated the concern about security developments in the region and the need for solid multidimensional support, including for the assistance of refugees from Ukraine temporarily located in the Republic of Moldova.

The Deputy Prime Minister also referred to some aspects of the Transnistrian settlement process, the dynamics of the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue, the activity of the "5 + 2" negotiation format, the measures taken by the Moldovan authorities to resolve the pressing problems of residents on both banks of the Nistru River.
