Meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration with the members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security of the Senate of the Czech Republic

On 21 September 2026, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri held a working meeting with members of the delegation of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense, Security of the Senate of the Czech Republic, led by the Committee Chairman Pavel Fischer. 

The discussions addressed developments in the negotiation process on the Transnistrian settlement, the security situation in the region, as well as Chișinău’s efforts to resolve existing issues and advance policies for the reintegration of the country.

Particular attention was paid to the role of the Convergence Fund in contributing to the reintegration process through the financing of key projects in the social, medical, educational, and infrastructure sectors for the benefit of residents on both banks of the Nistru River.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the Czech Republic’s steadfast support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.
