Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri attended the festive opening ceremony for the new school year at the ”Evrica” Theoretical Lyceum in Rîbnița

On 1 September 2026, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri attended the ”First Bell” festive ceremony organized at the “Evrica” Theoretical Lyceum in the town of Rîbnița. The Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the pupils, teachers, and parents on the start of the new school year, wishing them perseverance, good results, and confidence in their own abilities.  

Participation in the event provided an opportunity to reaffirm the constitutional authorities' support for the school community of this educational institution, which, despite the difficulties it has faced for many years, continues to ensure children’s access to quality education in Romanian based on national educational curricula.  

“We will continue to prioritize the proper functioning of schools with Romanian-language instruction in the Transnistrian region and to support the pupils, teachers, and parents who, through their daily efforts, uphold the right to education in their native language. “Evrica” Theoretical Lyceum is an example of dignity, resilience, and dedication to the values of national education”, noted Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri.

At the same time, it was emphasized that Chișinău’s concern extends not only to activities of the eight educational institutions with Romanian-language instruction, but also to the entire education system in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova. The educational process in the region must be organized in accordance with the provisions of the Education Code of the Republic of Moldova and European standards in this field, so that the right of all children in the region to a modern, safe, and quality education is guaranteed
