Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri paid a working visit to the Rezina district
On 1 September 2026, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri, together with Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Tatiana Cucuietu, paid a working visit to the town of Rezina.
A meeting was held at the Rezina City Hall with representatives of local public administration authorities and decentralized state services, during which the needs of the district’s communities and the development priorities of settlements located within the perimeter of the Security Zone were discussed.
The meeting raised the problems faced by the authorities and resident of the district, and also examined ways to resolve them with the support of central institutions. The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed the authorities' readiness to maintain a continuous dialogue with local government representatives and to facilitate the implementation of projects aimed at improving living conditions for the population and enhancing the accessibility of quality public services.
In this context, the officials visited the Public Healthcare Institution “Rezina Health Center”. Under the 2026 Programme of Activities for the Reintegration of the Country, the institution was allocated MDL 1.5 million for the purchase of a digital X-ray machine. The new medical equipment will help modernize the diagnostic process and improve the quality of services provided to patients.
The healthcare services provided by the Rezina Health Center are used by residents of the city and district of Rezina, as well as by residents of the city of Rîbnița and other localities in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova. The funds allocated for the purchase of this equipment are in line with the objectives of the Programme of Activities for the Reintegration of the Country, which provides for support for projects with a direct impact on the population and for expanding access for residents on both banks of the Nistru River to modern and high-quality public services.
