Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway on a courtesy visit

On 12 October 2026, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri received Anne Kjersti Amundsen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Moldova, on a courtesy visit. The Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the diplomat on the beginning of her mission and wished her success in her work. 

During the meeting, key aspects and dynamics of the Transnistrian settlement process were discussed, along with the complex human rights situation in the eastern districts of the country, as well as the measures taken by constitutional authorities to ensure respect for the fundamental rights and freedoms of residents on both banks of the Nistru River. Special attention was paid to Chișinău’s efforts to promote effective sectoral reintegration policies, as well as the process of advancing the Convergence Fund, which is set to become operational in early 2027. 

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the Oslo authorities' firm support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova, within its borders recognized by the international community.
