Free movement in the Transnistrian region will be simplified in the period of the Easter holidays

Between April 22 and May 4, 2022, a simplified regime will be provided for the passage of persons and means of transport undertaking private visits in the localities on the left bank of the Nistru River and Bender municipality. This information has also been confirmed through the correspondence channel between the political representatives in the process of negotiation for the Transnistrian settlement.

Chisinau welcomed this initiative and called on Tiraspol to establish full free movement between the two banks for an indefinite period, dropping all forms of control and detention of persons and means of transport, as is the case on the right bank of the Nistru River.

It was emphasized that ensuring the unhindered traffic for an indefinite period is long awaited by the citizens, it will be positively received by all the inhabitants of the Republic of Moldova and will contribute to the consolidation of confidence measures.
