Meeting of the Deputy Minister for Reintegration with the representatives of permanent Delegations to the OSCE

Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian received the Deputy Heads of Delegations of the United States of America, France, Germany and the United Kingdom to the OSCE, who are on a documentation visit to Moldova, accompanied by the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch.

During the talks, Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian briefed on the activities of the Transnistrian settlement negotiations, the current topics on the agenda, the approaches of Chisinau and the efforts to resolve urgent issues, as well as the promotion of a peaceful and lasting settlement of the Transnistrian issue.

Topical issues included the need to respect human rights in the Transnistrian region, including the rights of persons who find themselves in illegal detention, to ensure permanent access for farmers in Dubasari district to the arable land situated after the Camenca-Tiraspol route, the proper conduct of the educational process in the institutions of education teaching in Latin script, and others.

Furthermore, an exchange of views has been made on regional security issues in the context of the war in Ukraine and its impact on the Republic of Moldova.
