Meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration with the members of the Bundestag and Landtag Baden-Württemberg from the Federal Republic of Germany

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian met today with Tilman Kuban, a member of the Bundestag, and Matthias Miller, a member of the Baden-Württemberg Landtag from the Federal Republic of Germany, who conduct a working visit to the Republic of Moldova, accompanied by Katja Plate, Director of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

In the discussion process, the sides addressed issues related to the Transnistrian issue, the dynamics of the dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol, the most current issues on the agenda and the vision of the Moldovan authorities regarding their solving.

Mention was also made of the difficult regional situation in the context of the war in Ukraine and the influx of refugees transiting or remaining in the territory of the Republic of Moldova. Measures of assistance provided to them were stated, as well as the efforts to maintain regional security undertaken by the national authorities jointly with the international partners.

Praise was given to the excellent relations of Moldovan-German cooperation in various spheres of common interest and sincere gratitude was expressed for the multidimensional support provided to the Republic of Moldova by the Federal Republic of Germany.
