Meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian with the Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova

The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian had a meeting today with Mr. Marko Shevchenko, the Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova.

During the discussion, Deputy Prime Minister Serebrian spoke about the current state of the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue, emphasizing that currently the only negotiating formats that remain functional are the 1 + 1 and the sectoral working groups.

The two interlocutors also exchanged views on the situation in the Black Sea region in the context of the war in Ukraine.

The need to maintain a substantial dialogue between Chisinau and Kyiv in order to keep the stability in the eastern districts of the Republic of Moldova was reiterated.

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration expressed the hope that Ambassador Yuri Klimenko, the Special Representative from Ukraine for the Transnistrian settlement, will visit the Republic of Moldova in the near future.
