Meeting of Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri with Official Representatives of the Republic of Lithuania

On October 09, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Kristupas Vaitiekūnas, who is visiting Chișinău to also participate in the International Security Forum „Moldova Security Forum”.

The Deputy Prime Minister outlined the Government's priorities regarding the implementation of reintegration policies and the promotion of convergence measures between the two banks of the Nistru River, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace, stability, and security, as well as implementing sustainable development projects.

The current situation in the Transnistrian region, interaction within existing dialogue formats on the Transnistrian settlement, challenges in the field of ensuring respect for fundamental human rights and freedoms in the region, and the measures taken by the national authorities to resolve the pressing issues of citizens were also discussed during the meeting.

Valeriu Chiveri expressed gratitude for the unwavering assistance provided by Lithuania in supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.
