Working visit of the Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian to the village of Gura Bîсului

The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian visited today, the 5 August, the locality placed in the perimeter of the Security Zone – the village of Gura Bîcului, Anenii-Noi District.

 

Accompanied by the representatives of the Bureau of Reintegration Policies, the Deputy Prime Minister discussed the current situation with the representatives of the local public administration and deconcentrated subdivisions, village residents, farmers, economic agents.

 

During the dialogue, the problems which the local population are facing were uncovered, such as the need for improvement of the operating conditions of public and educational institutions.

 

Attention was also drawn to some aspects that might limit the population's access to some public services due to the neglect by economic agents of the obligations of the legislation in force.

 

In his intervention, the Deputy Prime Minister assured that the aforementioned problems will be forwarded to the competent authorities to be analyzed and resolved.

 

The projects implemented through the Program of activities for the reintegration of the country for the period 2013-2022 were noted, within which the town hall of Gura Bîcului benefited of 8 implemented projects, with built street lighting systems, arranged recreation area and renovated roof. Likewise, the house of culture and the rooms of the village's history and ethnography museum have been repaired, and for this year, an arrangement was also made for the rehabilitation of the drinking water supply infrastructure in the locality.

 

During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister stayed at the "Gura Bîcului" gymnasium, the public library where books were donated, the house of culture, the family doctors' office and the museum of history and ethnography.

 

A stop was also made on the bridge that is over the Nistru river, which connects the localities of Gura Bîcului and Bîcioc, which had been damaged in 1992, and rebuilt in 2001 with the support of European partners.
