Working visit of the Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration to Rezina

On May 5, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian had a working visit to the city of Rezina, where he met with representatives of local public authorities, the district medical and teaching staff, and economic agents.

 

During the discussions with the representatives of the local public authorities,  Deputy Prime Minister exchanged information and opinions on current issues for the district localities and potential ways to solve them.

 

Among the problems stated by civil servants in Rezina were the need to improve local infrastructure, modernize public institutions and create optimal conditions for students, provide facilities to young people in the region, increase access to a wide range of social services and possible additional measures to protect the environment, in coordination with central public authorities.

 

Another topic addressed during the working visit aims to increase the standard of living by supporting the activity of economic agents in this city and the district, especially small and medium enterprises. Thus, mention was made of the need to boost the activity of the Rezina subzone within the Balti Free Economic Zone through measures of attractiveness for the new resident economic agents

 

While visiting Rezina, Oleg Serebrian also communicated with the management of schools in the region. Particular attention was paid to the situation of the Theoretical High School "Olimp" in Rezina, an institution attended by students from the city and district of Râbnița, as well as from other localities from the left bank of the Nistru River. The talks also evoked the projects aimed at improving the study conditions, accessed and implemented in the said educational institution through the Program of activities for the reintegration of the country, as well as the prospects for future collaboration.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian has also visited the district hospital, which is an objective of crucial importance for the health of the inhabitants of the city and Rezina district, but also of the inhabitants on the left bank of the Nistru river. This institution was also in the spotlight of the assistance activities for the reintegration the country, implementing in 2021 a thermal insulation project, which proved itself very useful for the beneficiaries of public health services.

 

Another objective of strategic importance for the city of Rezina and the neighboring districts, including the Transnistrian region, visited by Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian was the Rezina Rescue and Fire Unit. This emergency response unit also benefited from the assistance provided through the instrument for financing the projects for the reintegration of the country, and the possibility of fruitful future collaborations was also discussed.

 

In this context, the Deputy Prime Minister assured that the central public authorities will continue to support the inhabitants of the city and district of Rezina with measures to improve the quality of essential public services provided to the community.
